  • Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) Board & Audit & Risk Committee 2009–2019: served for 9 years across a key transformation period for the heavily regulated telecommunications sector. One of the architects of the successful consolidation of the TIO Board & Council into a single governing body.


  • Telstra Foundation 2020-2022: worked with social innovation professionals committed to enabling change through technology. Ensured appropriate strategy and governance was applied to the identification and implementation of philanthropic investment opportunities.


  • Proquo Pty Ltd Board 2019–2020; served on the Board of a digital start-up exploring creation of an innovative small business marketplace platform. Gained important liquidation experience through the wind up of this company.


  • Telstra Tasmanian Advocacy Board 2014-2020 collaborated with local Tasmanian stakeholders and government to support growth of the Tasmanian economy and enhance Telstra's reputation.

  • Responsible for development, governance & integration of Telstra's sustainability strategy focused on environment, digital inclusion and trusted operations. Set and met bold, ambitious but solidly founded targets. ESG management of investors, government, regulators and consumer advocacy stakeholders. Covered reporting obligations from TCFD to modern slavery.
  • Operated effectively in a highly politicised environment. Considered consumer needs nationally - focusing in on regional & remote.
  • General Counsel role included work on marketing, competition, retail dealership structures & ACCC/ACMA investigations.

  • Executive Director InfraCo Telstra 2018-2020

  • Member of the executive team that set up the InfraCo business - established to create shareholder value from Telstra's fixed telecommunications infrastructure assets. Led the work on product offerings, commercialisation and deals.
  • Spearheaded cultural transformation including leading large teams to agile ways of working.
  • Commercial contract management of the $Bn wholesale delivery agreements with NBN Co.

  • Wholesale National Executive roles from 2014 culminating in Group Executive Wholesale in 2018 Telstra

  • As Group Executive, led Telstra's Wholesale business ($1.5Bn revenue pa) supplying wholesale telecommunications infrastructure products to carriers, carriage and internet service providers in Australia.
  • Achieved a business trifecta - hit financial targets in a challenging market, increased customer advocacy to record highs (measured by NPS) and at same time improved employee engagement.
  • Direct report to Telstra's CEO while Group Executive Wholesale through the critical period of development and execution of the transformational T22 strategy.

  • Developed & drove a company wide improvement program. Achieved a transformational uplift in customer satisfaction.
  • Operational accountability for >1000 customer-facing contact centre staff managing complaints. Significantly reduced TIO complaints.

  • Led over 70 security professionals managing security risk, internal security, fraud & investigations and business continuity.
