I am a dedicated, patient-focused registered nurse with 12 years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse. In addition, I have 20 years prior experience working as an enrolled nurse. This included eight years at Caboolture Hospital, working in many different acute care settings. I am therefore very adaptable with strong time management. I work very well in a team as my referees will attest and I practice a strong work ethic. My nursing registration number is NMW 0001433037. I completed my Graduate Nurse Program in Northam WA. This is a rural 35 bed hospital in which my grad program included rotations in theatre, the general ward, palliative care, day surgery and dressing clinic. I also did 2 rotations in emergency during which time I was deemed competent in triage. I also gained my IV Cannulation and Venopuncture Competency. My grad program also included a month long posting to a remote site in which I was able to consolidate my triage and assessment skills. I have also obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing through the University of Notre Dame. I also completed my advanced life support in May 2012 through Royal College of Critical Care Nursing. I have completed my ALS every year since then. It is presently current till 15/06/25. Between January 2013-August 2014, I worked as a registered nurse in Brisbane at both the Wesley and St Andrews hospitals, working mainly in their orthopaedic wards. I was also employed by CQ nurse, an agency specializing in rural and remote placements. I completed rural contracts in Jandowae QLD and Newman and Pingelly WA. My 3-month contract in Pingelly was in an emergency clinic with no Doctor on site. All communication with doctors was through telehealth. This experience enabled me to become very autonomous and use my critical thinking as there was only 2 staff members rostered on a shift. I have been permanently employed by Caboolture hospital since September 2014 in ward 3A, which is a cardiac ward. I also work in CCU after completing my upskilling in May 2018.My current position since November 2023 is in ward 4C, the new cardiac ward and also work frequently in CCU.I have acted up in the Clinical nurse role many times to cover leave and backfill. I completed my Basic life support instructor course in October 2024
