Perform the statutory functions of Registrar and manage the Justices of the Peace Branch (JP Branch) including planning and implementing changes to administrative systems and processes to ensure timely quality service delivery; Co-ordinate investigations, report and make recommendations addressing matters arising from applications for Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations; Co-ordinate and finalise replies to Ministerial correspondence; Prepare monthly reports on the status of the appointment and registration of Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations; Manage and expand the remote Justice of the Peace program on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities (Indigenous Strategy) and the “JPs in the Community” program; Provide advice to JPs, C.decs, Registrars and members of the public on witnessing procedures.
