Justin Alessandrino

I have been working at an accounting firm since July 2025, where I have been primarily involved in preparing individual and small business tax returns. This role has given me practical experience in applying taxation legislation and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. In addition to tax return preparation, I have assisted with reconciliations, dealing with invoices, and creating Business Activity Statements, strengthening my understanding of Accounting and Tax processes. I have also gained hands-on experience using Xero accounting software, which has improved my ability to manage bookkeeping tasks and prepare accurate reports. Through this experience, I have developed a strong foundation in both taxation and accounting practices, while gaining confidence in applying technical knowledge to real-world work.

I have been working at Coles since December 2020. Throughout my time there, I have gained valuable experience in communicating effectively with others, providing strong customer service, and working collaboratively as part of a team. During this period, I was also given the opportunity to step up as a High Duty Manager for eight weeks. In this role, I further developed my leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and handle operational responsibilities under pressure. These experiences have strengthened my confidence and equipped me with transferable skills to apply to future roles.
