  • October 2023, Acting DON FPSC, Successfully interviewed for position Provide Clinical Governance, Bed management and Site management at the FPSC
  • February 2022, November 2022, Acting Clinical Product Advisor, Providing Clinical advice to ensure the reliable supply of appropriate good and products to support the health services provision of patient care. This is delivered by identification of alternative products when required in response to supply failures and product recalls. I was able to demonstration autonomy and excellent problem solving skills.
  • August 2016, January 2017, Assistant Operation Director Medicine and Surgery (secondment), I have been fortunate enough to have worked with two Operation Directors who have provided excellent mentorship at an Operation Director level. Key areas have been Telehealth Funding submission, which involved liaising with key stakeholders from other health organisations. In this role I managed complaints, finance and resource management, patient flow and staff performance management. I have also provided leadership with In Depth Case Reviews and have worked with Outpatient to improve referrals and the Orthopaedic Elective waiting lists. In response to an increasing demand for specials I have reviewed the use on the wards and help reduce this significant cost to the organisation. I collaborated with Allied Health Management to develop a complex patient screening tool to streamline discharge planning by proactively conducting professional meetings.

Major Career Achievements

  • Developed and delivered Peninsula Health’s first Care Call System
  • Assisted and facilitated in the Patient Power research project. Supported by Monash and Safer care Victoria this project involved provided Total Hip and Total Knee replacement patients with a Note book and script to empower patients to ask question and be actively involved in their care
  • Was involved in development and Introduction of Clinical pathways for Fractured Neck of Femur, Total Knee Replacement, and Medical Pathway
  • Development of an Acute Care Elderly Medical Unit at Frankston Hospital.
  • Managed the expenditure of over $120,000 in DHHS funding for new equipment and furniture.
  • Assisted in setting up a Cognition Care Support Team
  • Initiated the introduction of Bed sensors and Hip protectors to Acute Care
  • Participated in and facilitated the ARC Digital Pen and Paper project.
  • Participated in the development and design of Stage 3 Ward areas
  • Represented Frankston Hospital on NHS Standard 9 and Standard 10 during Hospital Accreditation
  • Nominated and accepted into the Clinical Leadership and In Quality and Safety program 2014
  • Developed and piloted of the CARE call for Consumers at Frankston Hospital

Current Position

2007, Current, Nurse Unit Manager, Port Phillip Ward Orthopaedic Surgery/ Plastics, Peninsula Health, Frankston Hospital, Frankston, Vic, As the Nurse Manager of Port Phillip I have been responsible for the administrative and clinical management of Port Phillip I have shown strong leadership qualities by planning, developing and coordinating not only orthopaedics care, but plastic surgery patient management. My overall aim is to maintain the highest quality care, as well as providing a safe working environment for my staff. Sound financial and resource management, and achieving KPIs have been maintained. In the last 3 years during covid, I lead and supported my team to adapt to multiple changes of models of care to accommodate the constant influx of covid positive patients.
