This is a dual role where I have been hired to oversee a number of key projects for the business, and begin to introduce Project Portfolio Management processes.

Some of my key achievements since starting in this role have been:

  • conduct a full audit of the project management processes for the business
  • Develop (with endorsement by Senior Leadership) a road map for development of the capability
  • Quick wins around the following initiatives:

- introduction of a knowledge centric delivery model

- standardized pre-sales, pricing and approval processes

- standardized project structure

- standardized customer reporting and engagement processes

- introduction of portfolio reporting and standards

- increased visibility at the senior level to help with decision making

  • Concurrently delivery a number of key technical projects for the business


Professional Services Manager

A Senior Leadership Role, I worked closed in this role with the NSW General Manager and CTO, developing and delivering the Professional and Managed Service Offerings of the business.


At the time of joining, the business was going through a transition period, away from a more cabling and electrical capability, into more of an IT system integration style business. Leveraging my experience from my time at Fujitsu, I was instrumental in building out the Services portfolio to consistently over $150K+ monthly revenue from Managed and Professional Services.


Some key Highlights for myself in this role:

  • Development and delivery of a core Managed and Professional Services capability
  • Leadership
  • Responsibility for overall Service and Technical Delivery (direct reports - 3-5 Project and Service Delivery Managers, Service Desk Manager, 2-3 Team Leads)
  • Continuous Improvement
  • P&L Management

This was an a complex and at times a challenging role where I learnt a lot about business and the delivery of services in an outsourced environment. I am proud of my time and accomplishments in this role.


Delivery Manager

In this role I was responsible for the delivery of a key account with Dept of Defence, which provided welfare services to deployed forces via a managed secure gateway + network, and associated support services.


Some key highlights of my time in this role included:

  • Managing the initial design and deployment phase across 12 sites and multiple countries
  • Managing technical teams both internal and contracted
  • Establishing the Managed Service through existing and creating new capabilities
  • Once established, managing the ongoing delivery of the service, including new business, customer liaison and engagement, design iteration and improvement,managing service levels and overall success.
  • Responsibility for management of the P & L for the account
  • Net value was $17M+ over the contracted period.

This was a high profile and complex role requiring significant engagement internally, with the customer and with 3rd party providers, often located overseas, and as the Delivery Manager I was able to successfully deliver across multiple years both from a customer perspective, with SLA's and KPI's consistently met, and internally, with a consistent profit above the targeted value , receiving a CEO Award for my efforts.
