Accomplishments
I successfully managed the construction of South Africa`s largest award winning registered roof top solar structure. It consisted of 21800m2 structural steel roof structure for an established major shopping centre in Johannesburg. This involved erecting a total of 512 tons of structural steel roof structures, which was bolted on to new concrete columns. I managed to achieve completion one month before scheduled practical completion. The project won the innovation and sustainability award.
I successfully identified and mitigated against financial risk in the form of undervalued tender allowable, with negotiations with the project manager and project quantity surveyor.
My accomplishments throughout my years as a construction site manager included the successful completion of shopping mall new builds and refurbishments, 852-room student accommodation, PT concrete parkades and office blocks buildings.
