Justin Ngahere

My name is Justin Ngahere. I am 58 years old and I’m a permanent resident from New Zealand. I’ve lived in Melbourne for over 16 years with 15 years being a H.C driver with a major logistics company, (Visy Logistics). Due to changes in management and position, it is time for me to pursue a change of direction. My previous role involved long hours where I am now looking to slow down a bit, however, still enjoy working and willing to do extra if required. My preference would be an afternoon / night shift which I have done with Visy for approximately 7 years, however I am happy to do day shifts if required.
Most work was either H.C. curtain sided or an equal amount of dock R.O.R.O work with solid walled trailers and finger docks. Being a very experienced driver, my knowledge includes loading, unloading, load restraint and use of MT Data. And excellent customer service. I am computer literate. I have an excellent knowledge of Melbourne and the metro area, having delivered to many areas, over the years. During my time with Visy, i did many courses dealing with all aspects of driving, numerous first aid certificates (expired). And Certificate 3 in Transport and Logistics.

I have an M.C., car and motorcycle licenses. I have a white card needed for the VBA owner builder certificate and im very good on the tools, having renovated many houses. I also enjoy working on cars and am very mechanicaly minded. I have held mig and arc welding tickets. im experinced with a chainsaw, having been a forestry worker in my 20s, i still have and regularly use sharpen and maintain a chainsaw
A recent 18 month break from working has allowed me to renovate my current home, but i am looking forward to getting back to work and am keen to start.
