• Freight Handling: Load, unload, and secure general freight of all sizes, including palletised, ugly, and oversized items.
• Forklift: Operate various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T, and 16T)
• Load Restraints: Secure and restrain all loads according to the load restraint guidelines, using ratchet straps, chains, and binders.
• Vehicle Checks: Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical safety, and emergency equipment is in good order
• Driving Experience: MC license and experience driving Triple road trains, B Doubles, Tautliners, and oversize. Maneuverer trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Inventory Control: Check and enter freight accurately and timely, opening freight and checking contents against client orders, ensuring correct quantity, quality, and types of items. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
• Logs: Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service or repair status and report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicle.
• Staging areas: Ensure all items are scanned to the correct staging areas.
• Equipment: Operate equipment such as onboard computers, CB radios, and telephones using Bluetooth to exchange information with supervisors and Drivers.
