As a Provisional Psychologist working as a Rehabilitation Consultant for Pinnacle Rehab, I utilised my extensive knowledge and understanding of psychological disorders and interventions with my outstanding communication skills, to assist a diverse caseload of clients with disability, illness or injury, to safely recover at work. As a compliance officer, I was able to utilise and cement the skills I had learnt through my psychology degree, by applying them to real life situations, to customers who needed urgent assistance.
My role included monitoring and managing my work, utilising advanced computer programs to calculate compliance with Centrelink, and communicating with customers in an ethical and considerate fashion whilst maintaining professionalism and delivering my decision to them with clarity.
Furthermore, I helped spearhead the BOOST program, which has since been rolled out nationally. I, and a few other high-performing colleagues were chosen to set the standard on how much work was meant to be done over a specific time-frame.
