Hello, my name is Kahill. I am a deckhand with Coxswain’s 1
I have just relocated to Cairns, and I am looking for new work opportunities. Here’s a little bit about myself: I am 22 years old, and I grew up in Southwest WA. Over the past few years, I have been residing mostly in Broome, and I found my ideal work life to be outside on the water. So far, I have spent most of my working time on the ocean as a deckhand/guide on various vessels in the Kimberley and Southwest. I enjoy the hospitality side of things, as I have mainly worked in tourism, I love to share knowledge as much as I enjoy learning. I am also credible for working in the community from a young age, and running a small business at local markets around the South West. I grew up sailing and won the 56th Pelican State Championship at the Geographe Bay Yacht Club. I was a student at Busselton Senior High School up to the end of year 11 (2020), and I continued my education at TAFE to study new small business (Cert IV). I spend my spare time exploring Australia, camping, and fishing. I am a friendly, happy-go-lucky, and loyal individual to whomever I meet. I get along exceptionally well with others, and I love spending time in the outdoors and country environments outside of normal comfort zones. I am passionate about all aspects of nature, which has led me to become a deckhand so I can explore places such as the Kimberley and the Great Barrier Reef, where I have learned about the land I live on and, therefore, have found a passion for boating while working on live aboards and other vessels. I hope to eventually acquire more tickets in the maritime industry and find myself excelling in this industry.
