Development, implantation, and delivery of the Dress for Success Program
The program was developed to model the already established, Dress for Success Program in Perth. It involves motivational, employment, and self-care workshops specifically designed to enhance self-esteem and increase the women's confidence to enter the workforce on release. This program was so successful, that after it was published in the newspaper the CEO of the Dress for Success organization from Perth traveled to the Pilbara and provided a tailor-made workshop for our local ladies.
Development, implantation, and delivery of the Mindful Freedom Challenge
The development of the mindful freedom challenge consists of evidence-based strategies that enhance well-being by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression and increasing happiness. The challenge includes activities that improve positivity and promoted a healthy relationship with the self. Using evidence based assessments tools to assess the impact it had on the targets factors, the program proved to be a huge success and became extremely popular within the prison.
Martu Diversionary program
I have been privileged to be part of the coordination and implementation team for the establishment of the Martu Diversionary Program currently operating from Roebourne Regional Prison. This program was unique and involved collaboration with the Martu community to divert martu people away from prison and instead have them released to participate in more culturally appropriate programs within the community.
