  • I led, managed, trained and supported a team of seven service and program managers and was responsible for thirty staff, four services and 1,500 clients per year. I was responsible for overseeing client program performance, ensuring compliance with WAGEC’s ethical framework, practice standards, and all relevant funding, legal and contractual obligations. I also conducted and utilised research, data and feedback to strengthen existing programs and guide the development of new initiatives.
  • Driving the development of a new client services framework to be rolled out across the service.
  • Re-writing all HR policies and procedures.

  • I was responsible for overseeing seven key project areas, including Ageing; Safety and Social Inclusion; Historical Justice; Alcohol and Other Drugs; Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence; and Disability and Mental Health. In this role, I also managed a team of ten staff, providing leadership and guidance across these diverse program areas.
  • Obtaining funding for and managing ACON’s first project for people with disabilities.
  • Increasing domestic violence funding by 1,400%.

  • I focused on building the capacity of the mainstream sexual, domestic and family violence (SDFV) sector to better meet the needs of LGBTQ+ communities through targeted advocacy, research and training. Additionally, I worked to raise community awareness of SDFV by leading primary prevention campaigns, developing resources, and delivering community education programs.
  • Developing and delivering an in-person 2-day LGBTIQ+ SDFV training to frontline workers across Australia.
  • Developing and delivering a web-based training package for frontline workers in LGBTIQ+ SDFV.
  • Writing the content for a sexual assault e-learning package delivered to frontline workers in NSW.
  • Developing, planning and writing the content for www.sayitoutloud.org.au.
  • Producing a mini-documentary series which received up to 150,000 views.
  • Developing a world-first behaviour change intervention program for LGBTIQ communities.

  • This role was a casual youth worker at a refuge for homeless girls between the age of 12 and 21.
  • My role was to supervise residents, teach living skills, manage conflicts and any crisis that may arise, manage client notes and files and comply with child protection laws. All of the girls were homeless due to family violence or neglect.

  • I was employed at We Help Ourselves (WHOs) in the adult women’s only abstinence based program. One of my main roles there was group facilitation. I would facilitate between 10 – 15 groups a week on a range of topics including mental health, domestic violence, cultural awareness, trauma management, harm minimization and living skills.
  • In addition to this I also developed and implemented individual care plans for each client weekly.
