  • Replace damaged or shattered automotive glass components for heavy trucks, diggers, dozers, boats, trailer units, buses and motor homes, removing and installing windscreens, side windows and rear windows using the appropriate replacement parts, adhesive materials and equipment including vehicles hoists
  • Perform glass repairs for various domestic, vehicle and commercial jobs using specialized tools and techniques, such as resin injection and curing to fill and seal minor chips and cracks, preventing further spreading and damage
  • Oversee all quality control and safety processes for 3 staff including performing site inductions, voc's on equipment and training to maintain a safe working environment
  • Utilise the correct lifting techniques when performing repetitive manual lifting of glass panels weighing up to 120kgs including wearing the correct P.P.E for the task, mechanical aids and utilising the correct techniques when performing general welding
  • Ensure compliance with all the correct techniques and tools for the task including gasket rollers, glass lifters, glass cutters, guns, sealants and various cutting tools along with replacing tools that the end of each shift and maintaining a clean and hazard free workshop
  • Utilise various types of scaffolding techniques to erect, modify and dismantle of a variety of multipurpose scaffolding using Tube and Clip, ensuring all scaffolding was tagged correctly, barricading of the area and using the correct fall arrest P.P.E when working from heights
  • Remove old or broken glass panels from vehicles, ensuring proper disposal of damaged materials and recycling of recyclable components
  • Install new glass panels with precision and accuracy, aligning them with vehicle frames, gaskets, and trim pieces to achieve a secure and weatherproof seals
  • Providing professional advice, guidance, and recommendations regarding automotive glass repair and replacement options
  • Maintain an inventory of automotive glass products, replacement parts, and adhesive materials, monitoring stock levels, and reordering supplies as needed to support ongoing service operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to cleanliness standards, housekeeping protocols, and safety procedures to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment that is LTI free
  • Inspect and maintain automotive glass repair tools, equipment, and machinery, performing routine maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and reliability
  • Safely operate various light vehicles to drive to and from the job site, driving to conditions and performing detailed pre-start inspections of all mobile plant and equipment-checking all isolations, electrics, tyre pressure, fluid levels, communication systems and reporting any defective equipment
  • Adhered to company and site safety policies and procedures including using chemicals and resins as per MSDS guidelines, operating in accordance with JHA's, SOP's and hazard identification and reporting
