I graduated The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) with an undergraduate degree in Bachelors of Applied Social Science majoring in counseling and psychology (Cum Laude). My broad interdisciplinary choice of modules throughout my study allowed me to gain broad knowledge, and learn to approach problems from different perspectives, including but not limited to Research Methodologies, Statistics, Psychopathology, Theories of Personality and Neuropsychology as well as well rounded broad spectrum theorists in classical and modern Psychology. Looking to expand my skill set into the study of criminology. My professional experiences aided my development of strategic planning, market analysis, and business development. I utilise innovative thinking and operational expertise to drive venture success. Track record of fostering strong team dynamics and achieving sustainable growth.

  • I was also part of the social management team to ensure that all social media platforms were up to date with the company’s latest stock/inventory, specials, promotions as well as the promotions of competitions and the choosing of winners.
  • Additionally, I was part of the management team for promotional work at functions and events such as ComicCon Africa, Easter Rand Show, Electronic Gadgets Functions etc. Part of my duties within this team included the arrangements of the booth set up, sorting of which stock and inventory would be sold at these functions/events, management of work schedules and outsourcing additional staff for assistance as well as ensuring sale targets were being achieved.

  • I completed this internship at the Alberton Remedial School located at 1448 39 Vermooten St, Brackenhurst, Alberton, 1448.
  • This internship was part of the requirements for my BAppSocSci degree as a means to apply the knowledge and skills taught by SACAP as well as exposure to gain work experience.
  • The internship involved becoming part of the school’s community and inner workings of providing a suitable learning environment for grades 00 - 11.
  • Part of the internship required psychosocial support counselling to students for a maximum of 4 sessions. These sessions were conducted with the aid and support of an assigned supervisor. The supervisor provided guidance in terms of how to conduct sessions effectively for students who required alternative means of counselling.
  • Additionally, this internship provided the opportunity to implement, conduct, research and host psychosocial educational workshops for both the students and staff. These workshops included weekly sessions with different school community members on various topics such as bullying, self-esteem and awareness development, anger management, self-help guides as well as comprehensive guides for exam preparations and time management.

  • As a health-conscious person, I provided nutritious meals but one's that Caitlynn would eat, I needed to get creative, and Caitlynn loved meals prepared for her.
  • Later, I was required to assist Caitlynn if there were school projects and took the time to read with her and play both fun and educational games.
  • I was also responsible for going with Caitlynn when there were parties or play dates during the holidays and ensuring the mother's home was tidy upon her return.
  • I was required to ensure Caitlynn was on time for her extra-mural activities.
  • I had to keep the mother informed on matters regarding her child, i.e., challenges with schoolwork and health changes.
