Accomplishments

  • Transitioned the newly released Reach X product line into production and subsequently improved the manufacturability of the product such that the build times were reduced from 13 weeks for the first pre-production build to approximately 3-4 weeks for current builds.
  • Overhauled the QC procedure for the alpha line of products, greatly improving process efficiency and significantly reducing RMA rates over a 2-year period.
  • Created detailed product traceability for the alpha product line that has been crucial for controlling our extremely complex build and QC procedures and subsequently rolled this form of traceability into the new Reach X line which has been extremely valuable for both the production and engineering teams, allowing us to take a data driven approach to continuous improvement.
  • Successfully created and rolled out a new educational product including an associated curriculum, which is currently being used in classrooms to teach school children the basic concepts of electrical engineering.
  • Designed, built, and implemented a number of soldering jigs and tools for the production of electronic devices which increased manufacturing efficiency and worker safety.
