I am a Registered Nurse who has been working in Residential Aged Care sector from last three years, in full-time capacity. I am a highly motivated and kind individual who has comprehensive nursing skills in geriatric- elderly health. My time period as a RN has provided me with both clinical and non-clinical skills. Within clinical skills I have provided high-quality patient care to elderly residents, focusing on their individualized treatment plans. My day-to-day duties included administering medications, conducting relevant assessments, evaluating and escalating these assessments, while monitoring progress of patients already on an intervention. Managing chronic conditions including dementia, respiratory illness, and cardiovascular diseases, has been my forte with an emphasis on rehabilitating cares and promoting independence of my patients. Outside clinical skills, my role has also provided me an opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in order to manage patients' complex health conditions, usually with Physiotherapist, General Practioners, and Pharmacist. Within my roles i have continue to liaise with families of resident, often helping them out with a smooth transitioning of their loved ones from independent to more facilitated care. Needless to say, that on most occasions i have been the nurse in charge, often overseeing - enrolled nurses, assistant nurses, kitchen and cleaning teams. My experience in handling and dealing other employees have provided me with necessary communication skills, which is a must in team work.
