I have successfully completed my first year in nursing, and currently i am in my second year of nursing, during which i had gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience. This past year has provided me with a solid foundation in patient care, clinical procedures, and effective communication skills.
I have learned about so many things :
Firstly, I have learned about Personal care assistance in which we will help our patients with bathing, grooming, hygiene and, assisting them with dressing and toileting needs. Secondly, providing them mobility support,like assisting with transfers (e.g., bed-to-chair, wheelchair- to-bathroom) using proper techniques or equipment. Moreover, assisting with feeding if required, providing reminders to take prescribed medications at scheduled times,observing and documenting changes in health or behavior.
Reporting any concerns or incidents to family members, nurses, or supervisors, ensuring a safe living environment by identifying and addressing
hazards.
Responding to emergencies such as falls, seizures, or sudden illnesses, including contacting emergency services when needed.
