The ACFI Coordinator is an integral member of the nursing team. Within this role the I was responsible for the timely, accurate submission of ACFI documentation which reflects the care needs of the resident as well as maximizing the income derived from ACFI documentation.
The ACFI Coordinator is responsible and accountable for tasks including, but not limited to:
Provide leadership and be a role model to all staff.
Uphold legislative requirements so determined by the Aged Care Act 1997, including but not
limited to the appropriate documentation and record keeping in relation to the ACFI assessments to maximize residential care subsidies.
Actively liaise, mentor and coach the appropriate employees in all matters relating to ACFI and
documentation.
Attend meetings as required.
Submit all ACFI claims in a timely manner.
Manage the storage of current and superseded ACFI packs.
