• During my time at I Big Fat Smile, I worked as an Inclusion Educator and also as 2IC over many years. In 2014, I was encouraged by my Area Manager to take on a Directors Role, providing a Fun Club programme during school holidays. My team provided care for children, who had intellectual and physical disabilities. This required training in tube feeds, behaviour management, and how to use hoists from wheelchair to bed, for toileting and personal care. Extra planning was essential for excursions into the community and the necessary preparation and carrying out Risk Assessments.
