Recruitment

I have led recruitment assignments locally and internationally for all levels of positions (executive or senior management, middle management, first level management, senior staff, entry level). Some of the specific responsibilities include:

  • Designing and placing advertisements locally and internationally.
  • Assess applications using matrix system and shortlist using this system.
  • Designing interview framework and interview schedule for clients.
  • Providing panel support and preparing interview recommendations.
  • Conducting reference checks and sending regret letters.
  • Reviewing and preparing employment contracts for clients.
  • Overall recruiting and onboarding processes and communicated offers of employment to candidates.

Job Evaluation
Conducted job evaluations and salary benchmarking for clients from Fiji and other Regional markets covering the public and private sectors. Some of the specific responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing job descriptions and carrying out job evaluations using SP10 methodology.
  • Conducting interviews with incumbents and focus sessions with groups to get more insight on their roles and responsibilities and accuracy in their job descriptions.
  • Discussions with heads of departments on ratings given to each role which department heads are responsible for.
  • Developing report for clients entailing proposed benchmarked salary structure options and recommendations.

Development of job descriptions and KPIs

  • Experience in developing job descriptions and competencies, together with accountabilities and key performance indicators (KPIs) which are tailored to specific organization and role and which will enhance employees’ ability to achieve business objectives.
  • Having one on one discussions with respective people to get better understanding of roles and their responsibilities.

Remuneration Survey
Worked on all stages of the PwC Fiji Annual Remuneration Survey where over 100 organizations participate in this survey from various sectors. This survey analyses market movements / trends that determine pay practices in Fiji. Some of the specific responsibilities include:

  • Prepared excel sheets for clients to fill in their organization’s remuneration details and benefits.
  • Carrying out analysis on data received and preparing data to be benchmarked against the Fiji market.
  • Developing and generating client specific report and having discussions with clients to take them through their specific report.
  • Prepared datapack questionnaire and carried out analysis of responses received from the organizations. This questionnaire captures the organizations responses in terms of the Human Resources Policies and Practices across the Fiji market.

Other areas of experience

  • Established HR policies and procedures manual and ensured the manual complies to the relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conducting various customer and employer surveys with the team and produce meaningful reports for clients.
