Work History

Mechanic

New Town Toyota
05.2023 - Current
  • Whilst at New Town Toyota, I have been working in a FIFO role. As a Toyota technician on site it has been my responsibility to diagnose, repair and process warranty issues on all onsite Toyota vehicles using my specialised knowledge obtained through my Toyota pro technician training.
  • It has also been my responsibility to ensure the reliability of mobile equipment across site by carrying out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance work inline within the timeframes, scope and completion requirements set out by the site in which I am working.
  • When working in this role I have used Microsoft office suite to manage documentation regarding repairs and quotations for parts etc.
  • In my time in this role I have also gained competence in the use of SAP and FIORI systems, using this software to report on all aspects of daily work including work performed, problems found and future maintenance required.

Mechanic

Irish Defence Forces
11.2017 - 11.2022
  • Serving in the Irish defence forces for five years, working as a mechanic I gained the opportunity to work on a wide variety of machinery and equipment including armoured vehicles, small trucks and all terrain vehicles.
  • I worked in this role both at home in Ireland and also on two separate 6 month deployments to south Lebanon where the Irish defence forces are serving on a peace keeping mission.
  • During my time serving in south Lebanon I worked within a small team of mechanics and soldiers who were on call 24/7 to react to any breakdown of military equipment that may effect the operational duties of the overseas mission. This included quick response roadside recovery of vehicles and safe and timely completion of all planned and unplanned maintenance.
