Deciding to make the move from consumer lending to commercial asset lending at the start of 2024, I joined Auscorp Finance in a dual role of building my own business and being mentored by Auscorp Finance and working as a trainee finance broker. My role is providing complete solutions for either my newly acquired clients or working with Auscorp clients (mainly doing refinancing) but also motor vehicle/wheeled asset lending - matching the lender with the requirements, gathering all necessary financial information from the client (and associated entities) and creating the application for approval, then documentation and finally the settlement stage.

• Under my own ACL, I owned and operated a consumer leasing business. This was marketed as 'household appliances and furniture rental'.
• Acquired my client base, maintaining all levels of relationships through their leases (usually 3 year agreements)
• Managed applications from end to end ensuring compliance with RG209: responsible lending under the NCCP and all obligations for consumer leasing
• Worked full time as owner and manager of Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands territory - Colo Vale to Queanbeyan, Yass, Crookwell and Taralga (very large territory)
• Acquired and managed 450 active agreements, 250 active customers
• Managed 1-2 employees ensuring their training in credit approval is maintained and auditing their agreements.

• While my children were very young, rather than re-entering corporate life, I owned and operated Pilates studio in Bowral with 2 staff + 2 contractors
• Taught 100 clients 4 days per week
• Specialised in rehabilitation Pilates partnering with Physios to ensure client's rehabilitation goals were achieved

While my children were babies and toddlers, I retrained as a Pilates Instructor and worked part-time.
