I have a wealth of experience in hospitality, including management experience, which has allowed me to develop a wide range of transferrable skills and foster a strong work ethic built around principles of responsibility, reliability, and co-operation. I have some experience teaching, both primary and secondary school age, which I gained through a combination of volunteer work and partial fulfilment of CAS hours as part of the IB. Additionally, I have been responsible for running training sessions for staff at my workplace, a task in which I both excelled and found great enjoyment. Education is my true passion, with my own education and the facilitation of others' being of the highest priority.

(This was an unpaid position which I undertook in partial fulfilment of the requirement of the CAS element of the IB. Although I have listed the job here as a teaching assistant position, I was assuming the role of the teacher.)


Teaching a year 7 Spanish class once a week under the supervision of the qualified teacher.

Collaborating with the qualified teacher, who informed me of the relevant curriculum and provided the learning objectives for the lesson, but allowed me to write my own lesson plans.

Delivering those lesson plans, setting and marking homework and in-class tests, and providing feedback.

Aiding GCSE (years 10 and 11) students with preparations for their exams, conducting speaking exam practise sessions as well as reviewing and correcting written discourse.

Assisting with open-office hour after school, to provide students with the option of additional time to come and receive extra support on a one-on-one basis.

General duties required of me in the department (including administrative tasks and classroom maintenance).

Additional Information

I am currently undertaking an Honours year at the University of Melbourne, focusing my education on Indigenous languages of Australia.

I studied Spanish at Higher Level and Japanese ab inicio during my IB studies. I continued with Japanese at university level, and have a double major in Japanese and Linguistics.

I moved here from England in 2016 and achieved PR status in 2018, allowing me to apply for university, and was granted citizenship in February 2023.

I have not listed every job I have had on this resume; due to the nature of casual employment being unstable, I have had several other jobs. I have omitted most of them as they are all very similar to those I have included; a full history can be provided upon request.
