Summary
My life narrative has crafted life skills in a wide range of areas. I have worked in a significant amount of work place headquarters. I have experience volunteering world wide in Africa and Australia. I have a deep longing and passion for studying textiles, visual art (both analog and digital art).
I want to use my life narrative and skills to work in retail. So that one day I can support myself working as a teacher or art therapist ( whether that may be!)
I have lived in third world and first world counties. I have profound perspective on diversity, inclusion, collaborating and working together. I want to apply all this knowledge to working in retail and to continue growing!
Throughout my competitions in athletics at a national level... I have learnt and will continue to learn to best take care of my mental and physical health.
I am looking forward to starting this amazing adventure!

Aged Care Personal Care Assistant

- My aged care placement included 8 hour shifts (either morning or night) caring for a wing of 15 clients at Goodwin Farrer Aged Care facility.
- I cared for residents experiencing dementia, palliative care and the aother residents of Goodwin Aged Care.
- I cared, listened, and appreciate the needs/ wants of all residents. I tried to understand the backstory, health circumstance and the individual needs/ wants.
- My favourite activity was discovering any small way of helping the clients self esteem and overall wellbeing.
- My duties included feeding, bathing, general self care, cleaning rooms,/ communal seating and food areas. As well as approaching nurses when needed.
- I have well grounded knowledge on manual handling procedures, manual handling equipment and safety of moving clients/ heavy items.
- I strive to provide emotional, tangible, sensible and qualified support to each individual. In life I make sure I listen and try understand every persons ideas or queries.
Warehouse Production Worker Salvation Army

- For 3 weeks ( Mon to Fri 9am- 4:30pm ) I sorted through approximately 5 crates of Second hand donations.
- I sorted through children's clothing, household goods, men and woman's clothing and miscellaneous items.
- I have Proficient and detailed ability to sort through all clothings of different conditions, appearanace and trends. I have thoughtful understanding of sorting through any bric-a-brac items. Each day sorting through the 5 crates, my fellow co worker and I would keep about 800 clothing items/ clothing accessories, and discard the rest of the crates that couldnt be used within the store.
- I have affluent knowledge on the processes behind unloading and moving materials to and from storage in the production departments. I have awareness of the process from warehouse to retail shops.
- I understand the importance of time management and working successfully as a team in retail.
- I want to gain more skills in the knowledge of picking, packing, and shipping of all retail products.
- I have completed units through Tafe on Work Health and safety. I strive to take care of cleanliness, be aware of obstacles and hazards to the best of my ability.
House Keeping (work Experience)

- My experience as a house keeper, showed me just how strenuous, taxing, kind, selfless and attentive the workers are. I now have a strong appreciation for the daily tasks, activities and work ethic.
- I was partnered each day with an expert house keeper, I supported them in all tasks. ( the day included a 7 Hour shift with a 20 min lunch break).
- I gained valuable insight into the intensive of the hospitality cleaning industry.
- I gained hands-on experience of making 40 beds a day, cleaning all surfaces/ floors, cleaning toilets, removal of dirty linen and protecting all guests personal belongings.
