Summary

After completing university with a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education - a full secondary school teaching qualification in English, French and German as well as general subjects, at the end of 1969, I taught for only two years before becoming a mother, and then becoming involved with Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 1973. Since then my life has revolved around working for them, mostly through Chenrezig Institute but also in other FPMT roles, mostly unpaid, some with expenses covered and some even with limited support and very small wages. At 74 I find myself still working for Chenrezig Institute.

Skills

I was qualified as a secondary school teacher and have used the skills taught in various aspects of the jobs I have fulfilled

Otherwise I have had little formal training for my positions within FPMT but have studied the Dharma casually at first for approximately 15 years and then more seriously for about 30 years completing extensive studies with the various teachers who have taught at our centre and in particular graduating from the Basic Program offered by Khensur Rinpoche Geshe Tashi Tsering at Chenrezig Institute

My skills now include web design (which I have for the most part had to teach myself), coordination of a sometimes very busy centre and a complex education program

I have also worked to archive and in many cases lightly edit the majority of teachings given at Chenrezig Institute and in particular all the Basic Program teachings given by our three Geshes between 1998 and 2022
