Pharmacy Assistant, Customer Service

Chemist Warehouse
2024.02 - Current
  • At Chemist Warehouse I have been working on floor as a retail/pharmacy assistant.
  • My role is to manage my aisle and make sure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • This includes stocking up the shelves, cleaning messy areas, recovering and organising excess stock, processing sales, ordering stock, arranging stock as specified in planograms, serving customers with great customer service, maintaining inventory levels, setting up displays for catalogue promotions and more!
  • I have gained further experience in customer service and communication while also learning more about team management.
  • Within the first 3 months, I acquired a managers card which meant that I was given more responsibilities such as processing refunds and exchanges, price matching, and ordering the stock needed for my aisle.
  • My knowledge and understanding of time management and independence has been greatly advanced as I have learnt to juggle multiple tasks and get them done in a timely manner!
  • I am very organised with my work and make sure to plan ahead so that my time is used wisely and I can complete all my tasks!
  • I was also given the opportunity to take on another extra task which was expiry lines.
  • Every week I get given a checklist of the expired products in our store which I go through consistently to make sure that nothing on the shelves are out of date.
  • I also make sure to write down the items that are expiring soon and keep track of them so that I can check the dates weekly and take the items off the shelves before they expire.
  • This role also includes emailing suppliers and certain companies for credits, replacing the expired stock and resolving any issues or disputes related to the expired items.
  • Overall, I have a very strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, great organisation and time management and my productivity, customer service, teamwork and efficiency has improved significantly.

  • I then started working on drive thru to further improve my skills by working with crew members and learning how to work as a team.
  • I started my certificate III in retail through McDonald’s throughout December 2020, where I gained extra experience and knowledge about the retail business and customer service.
  • I am a hard working employee who is patient and professional with both customers and other employees.
