Work Context History

Selected as sole executive support for the Independent Lead of the Students with Disability (SWD) Review for Catholic Education SA. This 'once in a generation' opportunity analysed policies, practices, the landscape, trends, issues, stakeholder opinions, and data. The Review culminated in a Final Report including 40 recommendations for significant change which were all endorsed by the SA Commission for Catholic Schools.

Coordinated implementation of Review Recommendations with the Independent Review Lead, including policy review, governance changes, significant ICT projects, collaborations with external NGOs, and programs for more effective use of funding.

Continued with implementation work, completing three key projects. Formal SWD Strategy derived from Review Recommendations is approved by Commission and work begins on further sub-projects.

Working with multiple Leads and managers, supported the development and initiation of an allied health workforce, a significant program of teacher training, and introduction to using data in schools to inform improvement.

Review Recommendations and Strategy objectives now handed over and operating successfully in a 'business as usual' framework. End to end, from the Review's inaugural announcement to the successful implementation of the Strategy, the past 4 years have provided the opportunity for me to hone many soft and technical skills. Now is the perfect point of juncture to consider using these skills in a new challenging role.
