Serving as a sales assistant for the well known shoe brand Clarks, I actively engaged with customers, providing expert advice and personalised solutions to meet their unique needs. Extra training was required for me to be able to fit shoes for babies, children and young adults enhancing my knowledge in this field. Central to this role was answering customer questions about products, help locate merchandise and promote key items. I was trusted in opening and closing store independently and managing the cash register after shifts.. Additionally, I used in-store systems to locate inventory and place orders for customers.
Due to my knowledge and passion for the jewellery industry I set up an online shop selling sterling silver earrings. This required fully independence in all aspects of the venture. I was responsible for producing product listings with high quality descriptions and appealing images, ensuring all sales were posted out to the customers on time and creating a social media presence (kateigracejewellery).
As a key stakeholder in both the online and in-store platforms TN Powell The Jewellers, I have been lucky to gain exposure to operations and functions from both sides of the business. A key aspect to my role was uploading product listings with descriptions and high-quality images to the website. This further included corresponding with online customers to address questions or complaints about products, shipping methods, handling returns and exchanges professionally and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
During my time at Hap Solutions I worked as a bartender for three UK festivals over the span of two summers. This was a very fast pace working environment where there was always something to do such as serving customers, replenishing stock inventory, organising ques, keeping the bars presentable and making an array of drinks.
During my time at the university of liverpool i worked at a college where i carried out tests on the students.
