Summary

I have extensive experience teaching English, Literature, Social Sciences, and Music across both Australian and international school settings. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have held pastoral roles in which I worked closely with psychologists and counsellors to support student wellbeing, engagement, and holistic development. I have also coordinated and delivered a range of social learning programs designed to enhance student growth, inclusion, and connectedness within the school community.

I recently completed a Master of Social Work, which has equipped me with comprehensive knowledge of social systems, organisational structures, mental health and wellbeing, and the complexities of disadvantage across both local and international contexts. My placements and time working overseas have provided me with practical experience engaging with First Nations peoples and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.

Through extensive interagency and multidisciplinary collaboration during my placements, I developed a strong understanding of current community service provision, referral pathways, and the diverse sectors operating within social work organisations, including addiction, homelessness, child protection, domestic violence, and sexual assault. These experiences have deepened my insight into the interconnected nature of social service systems and the importance of effective, collaborative community engagement.

I bring to my work a strong work ethic, creativity, persistence, and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. My leadership experience has strengthened my confidence in engaging colleagues and students alike in meaningful service experiences, inspiring shared purpose and a commitment to community.
