Accomplishments

Learning about the science of sleep was a wonderful and interesting experience for me. I have grown up being surrounded by behavioural sleep and the importance of sleep through my mother while CEO of Ngala.

This experience gave me the opportunity to see the science behind sleep problems and laid way for one of my most significant career highlights when meeting Dr Andrew Whitehouse - Associate Professor Head of Autism Research Team at the Telethon Institute.

After attending parent groups for parents/carers of children with Autism, I became aware of how many parents/carers were struggling with getting the appropriate support for their child's sleep issues. I started to put together information I researched combining both behavioural and sleep science.

A year after presenting my theory to Dr Andrew Whitehouse he took our introduction to the next level by starting a research project looking at Autism and Sleep.
