Going to University to study Archeology has been a dream of mine since I was in high school, where I spent much of my time immersing myself in all things Ancient Egypt and dreaming of my future. I pictured myself one day standing at the foot of the Khufu Pyramid or sitting in the shade of the Mighty Sphinx, marveling at the wonders I had dreamt of for so long. Back then Wilbur Smiths 'River God' was my favourite companion and the library was my favourite place. I knew then as I know now that University is the key to creating that future I envisioned for myself such a long time ago.
Life happened, as it does to us all and I was blessed with three beautiful children. A mothers job is never done but now that they are all grown up and making their way in the world themselves, I hope to create the future I dreamt of. Find my way back to possibilities and dreams for myself. I am a very passionate person who throws themselves heart and soul into anything they take on, whether it be in my personal life, working in a management setting or getting the opportunity to study to further my knowledge of the world. I ask of myself no less than 100% no matter what the task or situation might be.
The word failure is not in my vocabulary and to put my own spin on the words of Albert Einstein you can never truly fail if you don't stop trying. This degree would be a dream come true for me, it would be proof both to myself and my children that you are never too old to fulfil your dreams and that with passion, hard work and dedication anything is possible.
