Relevant Projects

UNSW Advanced Autonomous Systems                                             (Feb 2023 - May 2023)

  • Implemented a kinematic model in MATLAB to estimate the position and heading of a platform moving through an environment with walls and objects of interest called poles
  • Performed 'Feature Extraction' of these poles by processing the LiDAR scans of the platform while dynamically plotting the positions of the walls and poles in the LiDAR's coordinate frame
  • Dynamically showed the LiDAR scans in the global coordinate frame, demonstrating both the raw scans and the positions of the poles from the estimates done in 'Feature Extraction'

UNSW Computing Applications in Mechatronic Systems               (Sep 2022 - Dec 2022)

  • Designed an object oriented software package using C++ for a Programmable Logic Controller to be used as a general purpose interface device (grade 75%)
  • Programmed a speed controller function which calculated the voltage required to achieve a desired speed set by the client (grade 100%)

UNSW Modelling and Control of Mechatronic Systems                  (Feb 2022 - May 2022)

  • Designed a feedback controller to control the shaft speed of a motor when the desired speed is changed and when resistor loads are applied (80% grade)
  • Designed a feedback controller to control the position of arms of different radial lengths (90% grade)
  • Developed block diagrams using Simulink to generate graphs on MATLAB which modelled the efficacy of the designed controller

Professional Skills

  • Proficient in graphing and data processing in MATLAB and modelling in Simulink
  • Working knowledge of object oriented programming in C++
  • Working knowledge of Programming in Python
  • Good understanding of programming in C
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and data structures
  • Proficient with Git individually and with a team
  • Proficient with using Linux systems
