My name is Jasper, and I am currently employed by the Australian Agricultural Company (AACo), where I have built a solid career over several years. During this time, I’ve gained extensive experience working across a range of cattle stations, including properties on the Barkly Tablelands (NT), the Gulf Country (QLD), and Taroom (QLD).
I began my journey with AACo in 2017 as a jackaroo and progressed into my first leadership role as a Leading Hand in 2021. Later that same year, I stepped into the position of Head Stockman—a role I have held for four years. During this time, I have also explored a career in construction and worked with Hewitt Cattle in Taroom, QLD. However, it became clear that my true passion lies in the cattle industry, which led me back to the Northern Territory at the start of this year, where I resumed my role as Head Stockman at Brunette Downs.
Throughout my journey, I’ve discovered a strong passion for leadership, particularly in managing and training staff how to operate safely which has always been a high priority of mine. My love for the cattle industry has been shaped by a broad range of experiences across diverse regions and roles. I take great pride in working with and training people, handling and managing cattle, and am especially passionate about horse work and horsemanship development.
