As a services person my job was maintaining our most precious assets - water, health, and the environment. I was tasked with install new connections, complete network repairs, and clear blockage. Te waka whaiora is a mental health organization based in porirua. As a navigator I provided support to those with mental health disorders, and advocated on behalf of them during their day-to-day lives. I organised appointments, provided transport, aided in finding them work and communicated with their health teams to create a plan for them to be able to live independently and Consistently remained professional and poised when dealing with all personnel, even during moments of extreme stress.
