  • Examine in house dental equipment as it comes through CSU. This is to detect leaks, worn or loose parts, or other indications of disrepair. I then notified the Infection Control Manager.
  • Operate and maintain Ultrasonics, Assistinas, Washer-disenfectors,Lisa autoclaves, heat sealers and Gentinge Sterilisers.
  • Maintain records of inventory, their usage and order instruments or supplies when stock is low. All records where given to Team Leader Dental Assistant at the end of each week.
  • Organize and assemble routine and specialty instrument trays and set ups, filling special requests as needed (in house Endodontists, Prosodontist and visiting Orthodontist)
  • Attend in house and out of house organised infection control programs related to areas of work specialisation.
  • Decontaminated all surgery dental chairs, in accordance with Health Partners procedure at the end of each month. Document decontamination and give to Infection Control Manager.
  • Call dental laboratories in the morning and evening for days lab jobs and document the lab called, time and the dentist using the lab.
  • Act as a backup dental assistant at any given time.
