Work History

Carpenter, Supervisor

Green Tree Ngaliya Civil and Fencing.
03.2024 - Current

This job has been a good introduction into West Australia’s construction and mining industry’s. I’ve been able to use my adaptability and versatility to quickly learn the different safety protocol’s that are in place for these industry’s. I have enjoyed the wide range of work and new challenge this job has given me. A lot of my work has been fencing within a team of 2-3. But also supervising upto 5 people at times on mine camp projects. I consistently achieved high customer satisfaction ratings by delivering good tradesmanship quality, safe working practises while maintaining clear communication throughout the whole project.

Some of the work during my time at Greentree has been :

• Colourbond and Garrison Fencing

• Installing culverts

• Concrete cutting

• Paving

• Landscaping

• Skidsteer and digger operating

• Formwork and concrete

Apprentice, Qualified Carpenter, Supervisor

Steve Mowat Building And Construction
02.2019 - 01.2024

My role at this company started off as an apprentice for the first 3 years. 2.5 years in I started running/supervising residential renovation job’s before getting qualified 1/2 a year later. Running these renovation job’s I was quick to adapt and plan out my job’s in advance to assure a safe and efficient job site for not just my workers, but all sub contractor’s too enjoy working on. A lot more initiative is used on these job’s because of the lack of building plan’s and likelihood of problems you may uncover in the process of the renovation. I would always run an efficient job site by having all materials ordered and thought about in advance, maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to safety protocols and regular site cleanups and inspections. Job pre start’s with positive communication so everyone was aware of our goals and safety protocols for the day.

Our job’s over these 5-6 years were :

• Residential new builds

• Residential and Commercial renovations

• Office fit outs

• Council work around the city

The work I done on these job’s consisted of :

• Set out

• Formwork, Re bar and concrete

• Standing frames and trusses

• Roof framing

• Insulation

• Roofing iron and flashings

• Installing interior and exterior doors and window joinery. Door hardware.

• All sorts of different cladding systems

• Framing and laying decking

• Retaining walls, fences, landscaping.

• Wall, ceiling linings. Skirting, architraves. Interior plastering.

• Bathroom and Kitchen installs.

• Flooring

• Waterproofing and fireproofing.

Building Apprentice

Thor Building
02.2017 - 02.2019

I was lucky enough to get introduced into the construction industry by working 1 day a week with a local builder while still attending high school. At the end of that year he took me on full time where I started my carpentry apprenticeship. With it just being a two man band I was able to learn and adapt quickly to safe and efficient building practises to complete job’s at a tradesman’s level of quality. Our work consisted of :

• New builds, start to finish.

• Full Commercial kitchen.

• 6 donger like unit’s.
