Max Potential

Max Potential encourages young adults to accelerate their potential, build a can-do attitude, explore their entrepreneurial spirit and challenge themselves to lift their game.

Young Endeavour

I first heard about the Young Endeavor through school . I hadn't been out on any sail boats before, and never really had in interest in sailing until this opportunity. I entered into the ballot, not expecting to win at all. I awaited eagerly for notification to see if I had been selected. When I got the email to say that my name was drawn I was surprised, over the moon and in shock all at the same time, it was surreal. I told my parents immediately (12am), they were eager although hesitant for me to go but encouraged me and said it would be an amazing experience. Whilst on the Young Endeavor I learnt to push myself out of my comfort zone. I learnt new skills and met new life long friends.

MAX POTENTIAL - Youth Leadership

  • Each young adult is carefully ‘matched’ with a community coach for the Max Potential journey. Each pair meets for a number of one-on-one coaching sessions The coaches meet each young adult where they are at, to change or improve their attitudes and thinking to help them move towards the goal/s of their choosing.
  • Coaching is an active learning conversation that accelerates people’s ability to lead themselves and others effectively. It’s different to mentoring , the coach communicates and asks great questions, challenges them to change their thinking and develop good habits, plus holds them accountable to go after their goals.
  • GROUP WORKSHOPS are also included throughout the program and create a sense of group identity and community within a fun and safe environment, providing valuable personal leadership development. These workshops build momentum and become important check points: an opportunity to celebrate ‘wins’ along the way!
