Currently employed at a fast - paced GP clinic that consists of 10 - 12 Doctors on a daily basis, as well as working along side allied health professionals that are on site.

• Competence in administering injections, vaccinations, wound care and assisting with minor surgeries or procedures.
• Experience administering IV, intramuscular, subcutaneous and oral medications to patients.
• Educating patients on health management, chronic disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle changes.
• A strong vaccination knowledge (administering childhood vaccinations as per QLD Government vaccine schedule as well as creating catch - up schedules, Travel vaccinations and appropriate vaccinations for people who are immunocompromised or belong to at at risk age group)

• Having shifts dedicated to our skin doctors in which we assist in procedures such as melanoma, cyst and skin care removal, cosmetic procedures and grafts in our ‘theatres’”

• Responsibility of patient triage and emergency management for deteriorating or ‘walk in’ patients
• Acted as a preceptor to new nursing staff in assisting into the transition of their new role at HMS.
• Conducting diagnostic tests within the clinic as per Doctors orders.

• Provide a range of care to all age groups (infants, adolescents, adults and elderly)
• Assisting doctors in minor surgical procedures whilst always maintaining a sterile field and safely discarding of sharps
• Providing services to patients such as ECG’s, acute and chronic wound care, sprirometry and preventative care
• Observed and documented patient progress for accurate treatment adjustments.
• Undertaking health assessments and chronic disease management care plans

• Knowledge in how to manage and handle cold chain breaches.

• Construction of multiple mental health/safety care plans

• Experience using Medirecords as a form of booking patient appointments / Psychiatrist reviews and writing case notes.
• Provided patient education surrounding treatment, medications and side effects.

• Assisted residents with ADL’s
• Bed baths/showering residents
• Lifting / hoisting residents using correct manual handling techniques
• Assisting with feeding & personal hygiene whilst maintaining privacy and dignity
• Assisted the RN with medication checks (ensuring the 5 safety identification checks)
• Assisted in wound care (specifically pressure area and chlorine wound care)
• Predominately working night shifts
