• Assisting management with the daily running and upkeep of a large retail variety store including, register operations, rostering, stock ordering, training, banking, merchandising, opening and closing the store.
• Trained and regularly mentored associates on customer service techniques, processing and placement of stock and merchandising.
• Reviewed invoices and stock counts to confirm accuracy.
• Collaborated with other stores and higher management to ensure seamless service delivery across all channels of communication to ensure smooth customer transactions.
• Pack and process stock transfers to ensure all stock counts remain accurate and stock arrives un-damaged
• Plan and assist stock take procedures to maintain accuracy and time management.
• Dealing with customer complaints and defusing situations that may otherwise become more serious.
• Merchandising showrooms to company standards and training and assisting staff and customers to do the same.
• Liaising with suppliers, contractors and transport companies to ensure smooth store operations.

This was a work experience position I obtained through school and stayed on after finishing school.
