Summary

Passionate teacher with experience developing and implementing teaching experiences aligned to the Australian Curriculum, to a diverse cohort of learners in an Early Childhood setting. Highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and developing strong relationships with students and their families. Successful in implementing a strong Synthetic Phonics program into past class teaching to increase students Literacy skills. Equipped with the knowledge and experience to work students performing below and above standard and those requiring additional support. For the past 10 years I have consolidated my teaching experience in the Prep and year 1 area as well as a term working with Prep students with English as an Additional Language. I have been fortunate to work at a school where 42% of students have English as an additional Language. I deliver great teachings in warm, safe and explorative environments and have valuable experiences working with diverse students with complex needs and developing rich learning experiences.
