Seeking an entry-level Health Service Manager role to leverage my clinical experience, leadership capabilities, and master ‘s-level knowledge in Advanced Health Services Management to contribute to organisational development and improve patient outcomes. Drawing on my extensive clinical background as a physician and ongoing Master's studies in Advanced Health Services Management, I am well-positioned to utilize my expertise to drive organisational growth and enhance the quality of patient care. • Kakamega County General Hospital, Internship, 2016, 2017, I rotated through various clinical disciplines, including surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, and psychiatry. Under the supervision of consultants, I coordinated and conducted continuing medical education sessions. I responded to medical emergencies in the hospital wards as the first on-call physician. I assisted in performing surgical procedures in the operating theatre and supporting the running of medical and surgical clinics. I conducted daily mini-ward rounds and accompanied consultants during their patient rounds. Additionally, I performed minor clinical procedures such as intravenous cannulation, nasogastric tube placement, and urinary catheterisation.

As a Medical Officer, I played a vital role in the COVID-19 response efforts. I facilitated timely case identification and follow-up, ensuring prompt intervention by the county response teams and minimising delays in test result reporting. I also provided advisory support to the Emergency Operations Center and technical teams, regularly summarising observed trends and patterns. Moreover, I participated in training programs and policy discussions to disseminate critical information at the county and facility levels through virtual platforms. Throughout this period, I remained steadfast in my commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the public.
