My primary duties are to oversee the Condition Monitoring technologies represented for the Australia and New Zealand territories.
Our core supplied technologies for condition monitoring and machinery monitoring include:
As the appointed product representative for our region. Our core areas of responsibilities include:
In addition to the manufacturers we support for our market. We have also been requested by industry to initiate research, design, prototype, test and produce, custom maintenance monitoring solutions based on eddy current sensing technology . We hold a number of patented technologies for the technology we have developed.
Over many years, I have managed the design, supply and implementation of many projects. Both new installations, and retrofits. Engaging with contractors, and plant owners, to coordinate the successful implementation of vibration monitoring solutions. Including, projects ranging from large slow speed ball mill drive systems, to large mobile plant / slew bearing wear monitoring solutions. Industrial mining ventilation fan monitoring systems, compressors. Right up to, and including, gas and steam turbine protection and monitoring systems.
Vitech Reliability originated from Light & Power Systems of WA Pty Ltd. Light & Power's primary market focus was supporting technology manufacturer's interests who specialised in plant operation, and control systems for the mining, industry, oil and gas.
Vitech was established by myself originally in 1993 with a focus to support manufacturers of vibration monitoring and machinery condition monitoring technologies. This new division (Vitech) began as a trading division within the parent company - Light & Power Systems.
My first opportunity, was to introduce the Shinkawa Electric company TSI products range to the Australian energy sector.
Primary roles included, but not limited to:
My role required that I have very good inter-personal skills. Requiring team leadership for our employees. Always ensuring a highest standard of relationship trust with clients and suppliers.
The experiences encountered in this management role provided an extensive amount of exposure, and understanding, for the industrial sector machinery management, and maintenance needs. My range of application experiences cover an extension range of industries, and machinery types. From simple pump set monitoring. To large scale steam turbine generation monitoring installations.
During the period between 1993 and 2013, we (Vitech), developed an excellent reputation in the market place, and worked with a number of the worlds leading technology providers for the condition monitoring and machinery protection systems.
In 2013 Vitech was re-integrated back into the light & Power Systems (Pacific Automation) company structure. And is now a division within Pacific called Cornerstone Asset Technologies.
While completing my final year of college (electronic engineering), I began working part time in the production and assembly department for L&PS.
This work included the building of industrial selector switched for electrical control panels. This required following detailed build/assembly plans. Machining of components. Assembly, testing and packaging.
In addition. I also assisted with the production of control interface panels for mining operations. electrical control systems.
