In my current position with Emeco I have been appointed as the Auto Electrical Leading Hand. Prior to this I was one of the auto electrical techs on the floor. During my time here at Emeco I have done extensive Machine and cab rebuilds focusing on returning the machine back to its OEM standard, also adding in additional custom mine spec upgrades to suite the site the machine is going to.

During my time here at Emeco the equipment we have been working on have all been Caterpillar based ranging from:

777F, 789C, 793C, 793D, 793F Trucks

D8 -D10T, D11T/R Dozers

992G/K loaders

14m, 16M,16H, 24m Graders.

Scrapers etc.

During my time as Leading Hand my daily tasks involve managing my team, organising parts and planning for future and ongoing rebuilds.

I assist my team with installs and diagnosing electrical faults.

Custom wiring solution and auto cad drawn schematic's.

I pride myself in efficiency and try to have a solution for every problem. I ensure that my team have all necessary resources to achieve the company's goals.

In this position with NB industries I was fortunate enough to have gained the opportunity to be on crew with the mining giant Glencore at their site Collinsville. In this position I performed a very high and safe standard of work , adhering to all safety protocols while still being able to perform my task quickly and efficiently with high quality.

My daily tasks consisted of diagnosing and repairing of electrical faults, routine electrical and air-conditioning maintenance/repairs, organising and ordering of parts and working both in the workshop or in the field maintaining equipment.

My experience was mostly with Cat, Liebherr and had some Komatsu experience.

I am more then willing to learn about other machines if the opportunity arises.

During my employment with NB Industries my tasks were not limited to mining; I have done numerous stints in town with NB on both light and medium vehicles.

Tasks consisted of:

-diagnosing and repairing electrical faults

-diagnosing and repairing air conditioning faults

-Auxiliary and aftermarket installations.

In this position my daily routine would consist of: Installing auxiliary components to vehicles for example:

Spot lights, UHF's , Multimedia units , Full sound system upgrades, Custom electrical work and fabrication, fault finding and diagnosing and much much more.

Full custom air-conditioning solutions which consisted of making new hoses and brackets to suit older show vehicles. This required a high attention to detail as most of these vehicles were of high standard.

Full electrical restorations on both old and new vehicles.

In this position I was expected to engage with customers and help them find a solution for what ever their needs were.

I also answered phones, wrote up quotes , finished invoices, did the ordering and checked stock.

Was the main auto electrician and air conditioning technician, mainly working on standard commercial vehicles ( Volvo and other well known brands ) and some small Isuzu trucks.

Most of the work I carried out consisted of diagnosing faults and repairing issues that were present in the vehicle, whether that meant repairing or replacing electronic components or repairing or replacing wiring harnesses.

Gained some more experience with doing basic vehicle servicing and maintenance to complex complete engine overhauls.

Gained experience with different diagnostic tools (scan tools).

My work and time management was considered of high standard.

In this position I was auto electrician & air-conditioning apprentice.

My work standards were considered to be of very high quality.

In this position I had great opportunity to work with both small vehicles to very heavy mining machinery (Caterpillar, Komatsu).

My job required me to be able to be self motivated, work unsupervised, yet still be able to work as a team if and when required.

I pride myself in my work as my work represented me and the company's name.

I strive to do the best in what I do.

My tasks ranged from simple electrical fault finding to complex issues in both cars, trucks, tractors and heavy machinery to overhauling and rebuilding starter motors and alternators.

I am capable of the following:

Work safely unsupervised, follow work instructions, perform diagnoses of a electrical or air-conditioning fault and repair any fault, experience in using a diagnostic tool (scan tool), fitting of auxiliary equipment which ranges from (spotlights, dual batteries, UHF, solar panel with solar regulator, GPS tracker and GPS vehicle immobilizers.) that's just to name a few.

At this particular work place I worked as a meat processor (prepared the product for its final stages before it gets boxed and shipped off).

My duties were as follows:

• Sharpen knifes
• Clean all equipment to health and safety standards
• Prepare all variety of meat to be packed and sent off
• work under set time period to get each job done before next cattle arrived approx 45 seconds per cattle

In this position I also attained a cert 2 in meat Processing.

My position at this workplace was to do basic duties that were required in the retail industry, for example: re-stocking shelves, serving customers, collecting trolleys and cleaning duties at end of the day.
