- Responsible for the short-term cash forecast of the Hitachi Rail parent company with the main objective of providing the Director of Finance and Statutory Accounting UK with accurate liquidity performance in order to discuss and facilitate strategic fiscal decisions aimed at improving cash management and understanding and communication of risk in key areas to executive management.
- Responsible for Trade Finance including; the management and maintenance of existing banking relationships as well as the introduction and development of new banking relationships based on new business opportunities or key requirements in line with corporate governance policy and controls; review and improve facility pricing; and, communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy in quarterly and budget reporting requirements for both Parent Company Guarantees (PCG) and other Guarantees including Performance and Financial based Guarantees to Hitachi Treasury (Italy) and Hitachi Central Group (Japan).
- Responsible for Cash and Loan Facility Management of the business including; identification of liquidity performance requirements of new opportunities and existing business needs; proactive communication and decision-making with key stakeholders within the business such as Functional Manager, Executive Management, Legal and Hitachi Holland Treasury Centre; management and maintenance of Facility Limits, preparation of financial modelling in line with Corporate Governance Policy for loan applications for Board submission as well as commitment to repayments in line with Loan agreements.
- Responsible for Identifying new financial products to the business in order to improve liquidity performance of the business including Receivable Financing non-recourse.
- Improve and develop key internal relationships within the business to provide understanding of liquidity performance and support as well as obtaining knowledge and understanding of project and overhead performance synergy.
- Preparation of mandatory Month-end, Rolling Forecast (tri-monthly) and Budget Reporting financial modelling using data extrapolated from SAP to Microsoft Excel and uploading of data to Onestream FT (Treasury) module.
- Key role in developing the Treasury Framework towards Day 1 of the 2bn GBP M&A of Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) arm of Thales including the review of ISDA schedules and agreements with multiple banks, onboarding and development of basket of banks required for need of the GTS business in line with Hitachi corporate governance and policy controls; support in the set-up of main online banking platform, permissions and delegation matrix; support in the implementation of the 360T trading platform and Finastra trade verification platform; and, support and review of the bi-lateral agreements outlining the cash flow treasury framework under the Hitachi Treasury framework agreement between Hitachi -> Hitachi Rail Limited UK as the registered owner -> GTS legal entity's.

- Played key role in the preparation of the Treasury Framework towards Day 1 2bn EUR Sale & Purchase of Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) arm of Thales to Hitachi Rail Limited. The most satisfying outcome was providing key direction to a number of internal (Hitachi STS Group, Hitachi Group Japan, Hitachi Holland Treasury Centre) as well as external stakeholders (Thales, Banks, relevant Vendors) in setting up Bi-lateral agreements, onboarding banks, legislative compliance and trading platforms, at a time when there was disorganisation in objectives and goals that required achieving as we approached the Day 1 deadline.
