I worked as an experienced community dietitian for several years. Following my passion for research and the biological sciences, I decided to go back to university and acquire a degree in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science. This degree was heavily based on research, focusing on several physiological and biochemical processes. I developed a deeper understanding of the functioning of the human body, as well as knowledge in the research, lab methods, and techniques used to diagnose, analyze, and treat disease.
My personal electives were focused on neurobiology and psychology. In addition, chemistry, biology, pharmacology, microbiology, and statistics were a focal point of the degree.
