In this role i sourced high-value sales leads via networking, cold calling, and prospecting efforts.

Here I dealt with time sensitive online orders using in-store ordering and inventory systems to process orders.

The role had an early start at 5am, so it was important to be both punctual and maintain attention to detail.

I maintained high standards of quality control in a fast paced environment (particularly during Covid) and managed out of stock items, selecting suitable substitutions in line with company guidelines.

I was further trained in ordering/selling age prohibited items such as alcohol, tobacco/cigarettes, scratch cards and lottery tickets. Further, i can set up of self checkout machines, including safely removing and securing cash in line with store procedures and recording the
contents.

Teamwork was pertinent in this role in order to ensure smooth daily operations (people do not play about with their shopping orders)

This role allowed me to develop face to face customer service and excellent communication skills.
I worked serving both alcohol and food typically from 7pm-4am, working closely with bar, kitchen, and floor staff to keep service running smoothly during peak periods.
I managed challenging situations professionally, including intoxicated patrons and crowded conditions as a high volume environment.
As my main duties involved serving alcohol it was important that I checked IDs and serve responsibly while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. At weekends we had live bands so this was especially key during those nights.
I maintained clean and safe service areas throughout busy nights and reset the pub at the end of shifts.
Training included the use of floats and cash management.
