Summary

I am a dedicated Midwife with over two decades of experience within the community setting, providing comprehensive, holistic care to pregnant women and their families. This includes antenatal examinations, monitoring fetal development, assessing and promoting maternal health and wellbeing. I have good experience in the provision of intrapartum care for low risk labouring women, with much experience in the homebirth setting and midwifery led unit. I have many years of knowledge and skills in the provision of care to women and newborns in the postpartum period, especially in the home environment. I have a particular interest and expertise in the promotion and support of breast feeding. I am skilled in high-risk pregnancy management, with referral to the multidisciplinary team where required. I feel I work well as part of a team, with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. I also have good experience in leadership and management whilst working in my previous job as deputy Team Leader. I am committed to providing compassionate and evidence based practice to women and their families, and ensure safe and positive childbirth experiences for all.
