Aspiring medical professional, I am an industrious undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. I am eager to merge theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience to bridge the gap between research and patient care. My academic passion for pushing boundaries positions me as a future medical professional dedicated to bringing fresh perspectives and inventive approaches to patient care. Excited about contributing to the evolving landscape of medical innovation, I am seeking opportunities to integrate cutting edge research with compassionate healthcare practices.
I am currently tutoring Year 10 maths, Year 10 science (biology, chemistry and physics), Year 10 geography, and maths methods 1&2.
I currently volunteer with the Monash Teddy Bear Hospital which is a non-profit, Monash student-led paediatrics interest group that aims to reduce "white coat anxiety" in children.
I currently work at the Mornington Hotel as a waitress, bar staff and gaming room attendant and supervisor.
This position has helped me further my communication skills and fast problem solving skills.
I had the opportunity to edit for the a student-run biomedical science podcast called “Let’s Talk BS”.
I was able to obtain an additional work experience placement at Portland District Health Hospital with the General Medicine Department.
I was also able to observe the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit.
This work experience was undertaken during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, thus I was able to view all necessary procedures undertaken in hospitals during this time.
As part of my work experience, I obtained an observer position with the Anaesthesiology department at Alfred Health Hospital.
I was able to observe other departments as well including the Cardiothoracic department, Radiology department and Intensive Care Unit.
