Time Management
Communicating with the entire team during my shift at Coles is key to having the work done efficiently. I am tasked with assigning each team member specific work to do so that everything can be done by 11pm each night which is when every grocery member finishes their shift. There are at least 2 dozen workers on my team when I work a shift at the warehouse, sometimes even more. We have a big responsibility of taking care of thousands of pallets and thousands upon thousands of cartons of different products to make sure they get shipped out to every ALDI supermarket in Victoria. And with such a big responsibility whilst being expected to make very minimal mistakes, communication is a must. To rack pallets, I would constantly have to communicate with the fork-lifters to let them know which level they are supposed to go on. I must communicate with other stock movers to create a safe working environment as we all operate machinery.
When I was working as a machine Operator/ Pick packing at LJM Chocolate factory, My communication was very important, as we I have muti-task job to do. when I was picking in line it was a really fast pace that we need to keep up with the fast line in order for the chocolate to be pack on times, if you don't keep up with the line your stock will pile up and that will cause delay and the machines to have Error. Sometimes the machine does get error my job was to fix it either manually or trouble shoot it through the computer.
